How SteelQueens scores

  1. Only documented facts. Every cell links to a source URL or is marked 0 with a public "not disclosed" finding.
  2. Non-personal. We score federation policies, not individuals. No name-and-shame of specific judges.
  3. Quarterly refresh. The matrix is re-audited every 3 months. Historical snapshots are kept for trend analysis.
  4. Annual outreach. Before each yearly revision we email each federation's press contact with our findings and a 30-day window to provide corrections. Responses (or non-responses) are logged in the matrix notes.
  5. Open correction process. Any federation, athlete, or reader may submit a correction via /submit-correction/ β€” reviewed within 14 days.

This index is modeled on Transparify (think-tank transparency) and Reporters Without Borders' Press Freedom Index. We take no federation's policies at face value nor by reputation β€” only by what can be verified.
