Carlotta Tonelli did not arrive at the Olympia by a shortcut. She arrived by showing up.
Between her first professional show in 2022 and the Wellness Olympia in Las Vegas on 25 September 2026, she stepped on an IFBB Pro League stage 22 times, in five seasons, on two continents. She was the first Italian ever to compete at a Wellness Olympia.
Where it started
In September 2021 she won her class, Wellness Class A, at the NPC Worldwide Amateur Olympia Italy, and with it her IFBB Pro card. Wellness was then barely a year old: the federation had added it in 2020, and the first Wellness Olympia was held that same autumn.
Five seasons, read in order
Her record in the NPC archive tells the story without any help.
| Season | Pro shows | Best result |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 2 | 7th, Empro Pro |
| 2023 | 4 | 3rd, Fitparade Pro |
| 2024 | 6 | 2nd, Toronto Pro Supershow · 2nd, Euro Muscle Show Pro |
| 2025 | 5 | 2nd, Toronto Pro Supershow · 3rd, Romania Muscle Fest Pro |
| 2026 | 5 | 7th, Toronto Pro Supershow and Empro Classic Spain Pro · then the Olympia |
In her first two seasons she was learning the pro stage. From 2024 she was a regular in the top five: four top-five finishes out of six shows that year. In 2025 she entered five shows and finished in the top five at every one of them.
Across the Atlantic, three years running
Tonelli did not keep her season in Europe. She went to Canada for the Toronto Pro Supershow in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and to the Miami Pro in 2026. She was second in Toronto twice.
How she earned Las Vegas
In Wellness, the Olympia takes the top 25 in the season’s points standings, plus anyone who wins two open shows. Points are hard to collect: at a regular pro show only the top five score, and a win is worth ten. Her third place at the 2025 Romania Muscle Fest Pro, one of the five major shows of the season, was worth 11 points on its own under the published scale.
What it means for Italy
The Wellness Olympia has been held six times, since 2021. In the first five editions 149 athletes stood in the field, and none of them was listed under Italy (NPC contest archive, Fitness Volt results). In 2026 the field had 40 athletes, and on the IFBB Pro League’s official list one of them was from Italy: Carlotta Tonelli.
Seven women represented Italy at the 2026 Olympia, in four divisions. Wellness was one of them because of her.
For every woman lining up in Wellness at the Amateur Olympia Italy (between 16 and 36 of them every year since 2021), her record is the whole path, written down show by show: a class win, two seasons of learning, two seasons near the top, and the Olympia.
In her words
The day after the final she wrote, in the post at the top of this page, that she had stepped onto “il palco degli dei”, the stage of the gods, “il palco che ogni bodybuilder sogna”. Five seasons of pro shows are behind that sentence.
Her full record, with a source for every show, is on her athlete page.
