Our Commitment to Transparency

At SteelQueens, we believe in full transparency about how our content is produced. This page explains our use of artificial intelligence in the editorial process.

How We Use AI

SteelQueens uses AI technology (Claude, developed by Anthropic) as a drafting tool in our content pipeline. Specifically, AI assists with:

  • Article drafting: AI generates initial article drafts based on verified news sources, official competition results, and public information from federations, athletes, and event organizers.
  • Summarization: AI helps condense information from multiple sources into coherent, readable articles.
  • SEO optimization: AI assists with generating headlines, meta descriptions, and keyword optimization to help readers find relevant content.

What AI Does Not Do

  • AI does not generate images. Every photograph on SteelQueens is a real image sourced via official channels, including Instagram oEmbed embeds from athletes’ public profiles and official federation press materials. We never use AI-generated or synthetic images.
  • AI does not fabricate information. All facts, competition results, athlete data, and quotes are sourced from verifiable public sources. AI is used to write about these facts, not to invent them.
  • AI does not make editorial decisions. The selection of topics, the angle of coverage, and the final published version of every article are determined by the SteelQueens editorial team.

Our Editorial Process

  1. Source identification: our automated pipeline monitors official news sources, federation announcements, and public RSS feeds for relevant stories about female bodybuilding.
  2. AI drafting: an AI model generates an initial draft based on the source material, with instructions to write original commentary and analysis rather than reproducing source content.
  3. Editorial review: every article is reviewed by the SteelQueens editorial team before publication. This review checks for factual accuracy, tone, completeness, and compliance with our editorial standards.
  4. Source attribution: every article includes a clear link to the original source material. We never present sourced information without attribution.
  5. Publication: articles are published only after editorial review and approval.

Why We Use AI

Female bodybuilding is an underserved niche in sports media. By using AI as a drafting tool, we are able to provide timely, comprehensive coverage of competitions, athlete news, and industry developments at a speed and scale that would not be possible with a small editorial team alone. AI allows us to cover more stories while maintaining quality and accuracy.

How to Identify AI-Assisted Content

Articles drafted with AI assistance include a disclosure notice at the bottom of the article:

Our Standards

  • We never publish AI-generated content without editorial review.
  • We never use AI to generate fake quotes, fabricated statistics, or invented sources.
  • We never use AI-generated images or deepfakes.
  • We always attribute original sources with direct links.
  • We continuously refine our AI prompts and editorial review process to improve accuracy and quality.
