Cory Everson won six straight from 1984 to 1989 and retired undefeated, and Lenda Murray won six straight from 1990 to 1995 before Kim Chizevsky beat her in 1996. Only Iris Kyle has won more in a row: nine, from 2006 to 2014, on her way to ten titles in total.
A seventh title tonight would put Shaw alone in second place for consecutive wins, and third on the all-time list, behind Kyle (10) and Murray (8).
